Product Description
TARA GUM is obtained from the endosperm of the seeds, that come from the Tara Tree. It's obtained by a physic mechanic process, then passes through a colour sorter selection. After that, the splits 100% selected, pass through a mill process, obtaining a safe and healthful product, with a big range of applications. Of its high viscosity, it is used in the food industry as a thickener, stabilizer in the preparation of instant soups, ketchup and mustard. In Bakery products Tara gum is used as a dough conditioner, grants smoothness improves the texture and retains the humidity of the products, prolonging its shelf life. In the ice-cream industry, it acts as an efficient stabilizer fixing the water, to avoid the formation of ice and as a thickener for bakery and jellies. In the juice industry, it acts as an excellent stabilizer. Tara Gum acts synergistically with Kappa Carrageenan and Xanthan Gum, to increase gel strength and make such gels less prone to Syneresis.
Premium Performance in Food Formulations
Tara Gum is valued for its excellent thickening and stabilizing actions in food processing, especially in dairy, bakery, and sauces. Its viscosity, neutral taste, and light cream color make it an ideal additive that maintains product integrity and improves texture.
Safe and Allergen-Free
This gum is processed under strict safety guidelines, ensuring total plate counts below 5,000 cfu/g and yeast & mold counts under 100 cfu/g. It is certified allergen-free, which makes it suitable for a wide range of food products targeting sensitive consumers.
Convenient, Long-Term Storage and Packaging
Tara Gum maintains its quality when stored in a sealed container in cool, dry conditions. Packaged in 25 kg paper bags with an inner PE liner, the gum remains stable for up to 24 months, ensuring both convenience and longevity for bulk users.
